Hope Starts with Us

Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month

Every life matters. Yet too many in our communities are silently struggling. In 2024, Weld County lost 67 lives to suicide—67 people who were neighbors, family members, and friends. Suicide is a leading cause of death, but it is also the most preventable.

Suicide Education and Support Services, a program of North Range Behavioral Health, and Imagine Zero of Weld County, know that hope, connection, and education can help save lives. This Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month, let’s all do our part to reduce stigma, increase awareness, and empower each other to recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide.

Each of us can make a difference. Here’s how:

Sound Bath Meditation

Come and discover the benefits of sound meditation at Carbon Valley Regional Library. Regardless of your lifestyle, it’s likely you could benefit from some self-care and stress relief. If you enjoy unwinding with music after a long day, a sound bath may be the perfect addition to your wellness routine. Sound baths can offer significant benefits for your overall wellbeing, including reducing stress and anxiety, lowering blood pressure, improving circulation, and helping with pain relief. Bring a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket for your comfort as we relax and enjoy an hour of self-care. We will also have chairs available for those who prefer to sit as they meditate.

Registration is required. Register here starting on August 20th.
